Sharing is Caring

The other day at pre-school Emily was having a fit, crying. Three girls, one her best friend, were on the tire swing and they would not let her on. I quickly rushed over.
Well, the swing could only handle three so I said we needed to take turns. More crying... NO.
Yes, we need to take turns. I'm going to count to 20 and then it will be your turn.
Emily turned on the tears even harder. No, daddy, don't count to 20, don't count to 20 NO!
"Okay, fine." I said. "What should we count to?"
Through the tears she blurted out... "21."

Baby Cubies.

They have returned!!! Emily loved them for a short time when she was 2. They were replaced by Clifford, Wiggles, Elmo just to name a few. All of a sudden, right before dinner she started asking for the 'Baby Cubbies." The funny babies with pointed things on their heads... BABY CUBIES!! We had no F ing idea what the hell she was talking about. We were in our usual panic. She was getting more upset because we didn't know what she meant. Then the light bulb went off. I have no idea why, but I showed her the T.B.'s on the computer and that was it... Of course. Baby Cubies.

A fine wine

Well yesterday we pass buy a McDonald's that has a playland. Emily starts screaming that she needs to go there. I hate McDonald's but what the hell it's raining. The playland is sort of inside. We pull over and she starts in about ice cream. I say no. She starts the full on whining. Nothing to do but give in. Later when she was home with Mommy she explained to mommy how she was able to get ice cream from daddy by whining and proceeded to show Mommy how to do it. She still does get that Mommy and I compare notes.

Marriage

Well I got my first marriage proposal today. Emily was all dressed up like a princes, which is something new for her. She is still the crazy super athletic kid, but has found her princes side. Well, yesterday she got all dolled up in her best princes outfit and came into the kitchen and asked all blushingly.... "Will you marry me?" How could I refuse. I must grab a pic of the next time she dresses up.

Making bones

Last night feeding the kid. Two bowels of mac and cheese. Of course she had to have it poured into a super large bowl and then back into a super small bowl. Mini carrots: Emily stared gnawing the center of he carrot with great precision and after a moment or two she showed the carrot to me. "Look, dad, bones. She had fashioned the mini carrot into what looked like a tiny bone. She is brilliant.

Neanderthal baby

Almost like the modern human baby. The Neanderthal baby matures
much faster. Here is a 5 year old ready to join the hunt for wild game.
